Notes

Students are strongly encouraged to meet with their advisor each semester before registering.

  1. With Advisor approval 6 semester hours of total elective hours may be from a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of 12 semester hours out of the total 33 semester hours required for the major must be taken from 300-level courses or above.
  3. At least 45 total semester hours must be earned in upper division courses (300-level or above) for graduation.
  4. Students should always check course prerequisites and frequency with which courses are offered.
  5. COM Culture or Diversity Course - Choose one of the following courses:
    • COM 241 , COM 260 , COM 344 , or COM 359
  6. A student may choose COM 400 , COM 441 , COM 444 , COM 451 , COM 456 , COM 460 , COM 494 or COM 499 to complete the capstone course requirement. It is strongly recommended student complete COM 350 (Research Methods) before pursuing COM 494 or COM 499 .
