UH Hilo Quality Online Course Design Certification
The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo's goal is to assure the high quality and integrity of all online courses and to meet accreditation standards for our online programs.

Teaching Online Prep Program (TOPP)
TOPP is an intensive 7-week online program that prepares our faculty to develop and facilitate high-quality online classes. Hosted by Kapʻolani Community College, participants learn about effective online pedagogy and current state, federal and WASC requirements for online classes, practice maximizing key Laulima and Web 2.0 tools, and begin developing their online class site in a supportive community of practice.

Preparing to Teach Online at UH (PTTO)
PTTO is an introductory, self-paced module that was designed by the UH Online Innovation Center (UHOIC) to assist faculty and staff in reviewing a wide range of topics and concepts related to online learning presented in an interactive and engaging online learning environment. Topics such as engaging tools, best practices, distance learning regulations, and policies are covered in this module.
