In memory of a woman who believed that an opportunity to be transplanted into a unfamiliar country and culture would lead to a more tolerant and peaceful world. She also believed that all students should be encouraged to participate in international exchange programs.
John and Anja McVickar Endowed Excellence Scholarship for Study Abroad
The purpose of this Fund is to provide scholarships for students attending the University of Hawai'i at Hilo ("UH Hilo") to study abroad internationally. Funds may be used for travel, meals, housing, costs of attendance (tuition, books, fees, etc.) while abroad.
