The Center for Global Education and Exchange (CGEE) would like to thank all parents for supporting their student's decision to study abroad. Our office encourages parents to learn about the various aspects of study abroad at UH Hilo, including our policies and procedures, financial considerations, the patterns of cultural adjustment, and health and safety abroad for it will help both parents and students in this study abroad journey.
CGEE has put together this guide as a source of information for parents as the students navigate the study abroad process; however, it is important that for parents to remember that students should take primary responsibility for planning their experience.
