Imua Fitness Classes


    Campus Recreation Department provides numerous opportunities for patrons to meet their fitness goals. Qualified staff and resources are available for group and personal instruction in a wide variety of classes such as Zumba, Yoga, Boot Camp, Total Body Conditioning and Spin. Non-credit activities are also available to provide educational experiences for a wide variety of interests. The activities offered include Dance, Martial Arts, and Self-Defense. All Imua classes are free to members!

    Fitness Class Descriptions (Fall 2020 - Virtual Fitness Classes 8/31 - 12/11)

    Virtual Boot Camp

    Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays
    1:00p.m. - 2:00p.m.

    Are you looking for a total body workout and tired of doing the same routine? Well, this class is for you! This class integrates a variety of different exercises such as burpees, squats, lundges, overhead press, push-ups, etc. push-ups, bosu ball, free weights and kettlebell workout.

    Cardio & Strength (Virtual)

    Tuesdays and Thursdays
    7:00a.m. - 8:00a.m.

    This class integrates various conditioning and strength exercises. There is a mixture of high intensity interval cardio work mixed with body weight strength exercises. No equipment needed, yoga/workout mat (optional).

    Zumba® (Virtual)

    Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
    5:00p.m.- 6:00p.m.

    Fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program. You will love this exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements combined with core strengthening exercises.

    Yoga and Meditation (Virtual)

    Tuesdays and Thursdays
    1:00p.m. - 2:00p.m.

    Yoga (Virtual)

    Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
    5:00p.m. - 6:00p.m.

    Yoga is a way to improve our posture, balance, and coordination. In this class you will learn a series of yoga poses that will help to improve your posture, balance, and coordination. You will also learn how to control your breathing that will help center your mind and body.

    Zumba Toning® (Virtual)

    Tuesdays and Thursdays
    6:00p.m.- 7:00p.m.

    This class combines and targeted body-sculpting exercises and high energy cardio work with Latin-infused ZUMBA moves to create a strength training and calorie burning party! Zumba sticks are recommended, but not required to attend this class.

    Please note: All participants must sign the risk and release form located at the weight room desk, before attending any of the above Imua fitness classes. Cancelled classes will be posted outside of the studio.
