Outdoor EdVenture Program

The summit of Maunakea sits 13,796 ft. above sea level and reaches above 40% of the Earth’s atmosphere. There are 13 telescopes on the summit operated by 11 different countries. The summit holds the world’s largest astronomical observatory, with three of the telescopes holding records for being the largest in the world. The summit is a great place to view the sunset, however visitors are not allowed after dark.
