Faculty Responsibilities for IDAP Setup in Laulima
Interactive Digital Access Program (IDAP) Request Process
Textbook orders for Spring 2025 were already due to campus bookstores on October 1. For faculty intending to use IDAP materials, if you haven’t already done so, please submit those orders as soon as possible. IDAP orders will have a cutoff date of December 4, 2024. This deadline will minimize late IDAP charges being placed on student accounts.
After December 4, all late IDAP requests will require approval from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs via an electronic form that will be made available prior to that date. Bookstore managers and employees will direct faculty to complete this form and will not process late IDAP requests without VCAA approval. This is a system-wide practice supported by the Council of Chief Academic Officers (CCAO), so each campus will follow this process.
Please refer to the graphic below for a comprehensive timeline about the IDAP process and important dates along that timeline:

Faculty Responsibilities for IDAP Setup in Laulima
Although using the Interactive Digital Access Program (IDAP) in Laulima is easy it does still require some work on the part of the course instructor.
- While a link may automatically appear in the tools list in your Laulima course site, this link needs additional setup to connect the textbook and / or supplemental materials from the publisher.
- If you do not have an IDAP link in your course(s), contact UH Hilo Bookstore Manager Margaret Stanley: mlstanle@hawaii.edu.
- You should receive an email from the publisher that will contain critical information regarding this setup - don’t delete this thinking that it’s spam or unwanted solicitation.
- Contact the publisher immediately so that they can help you complete the IDAP setup process.
- If you have not received an email from the publisher by two weeks before the first day of instruction, contact UH Hilo Bookstore Manager
Margaret Stanley at mlstanle@hawaii.edu. as soon as possible.
- If you still have questions or problems with the setup, don't hesitate to contact UH Hilo Bookstore Manager

Thank you for providing your students with a lower-cost textbook! The UH Bookstores have an IDAP FAQ page for students.
