Academic Policy Committee (APC)
The CAS APC is a standing committee of the College of Arts and Sciences Senate
The Academic Policy Committee (APC) of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is composed of four (4) faculty members elected from and by the Faculty, with one from each of the CAS's three divisions. Faculty on the APC must hold the rank of Associate Professor (I-4) or Professor (I-5). The term of appointment is for two years.
The duties of the APC are as follows:
- To review proposals to modify existing rules, regulations, and policies regarding the professional welfare of the Faculty for the purpose of making recommendations to the Dean for approval or disapproval.
- To review proposals of new rules, regulations, and policies regarding the professional welfare of the Faculty for the purpose of making recommendations to the Dean for approval or disapproval.
- To develop, review periodically, and when necessary suggest modification of the procedures for approval and review of rules, regulations, and policies in the College of Arts and Sciences.
All policies approved by the APC are included in the CAS Manual of Operations and Procedures.
