Strategic Initiatives - UH Hilo 2002-2010 Strategic Plan
As part of the 2002-2010 strategic plan planning process, the UH system President asked each campus to develop strategic initiatives - new programs and undertakings that would implement campus strategic goals. In May 2002, UH Hilo's vice chancellor for academic affairs solicited proposals for such initiatives. Department chairs, division chairs, deans and other unit directors, faculty governance chairs, and administrators were invited to submit proposals which were reviewed in two open meetings spread over two days. Nineteen strategic initiatives were produced.
