Overview

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo’s Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Plan aligns with the university’s commitment to our mission:

To cultivate a vibrant, inclusive community through education that honors Hawaiʻi’s Indigenous people, deepens understanding of our local and global connections, and inspires exploration of Hawaiʻi Island’s distinct cultures and natural ecosystems.

UH Hilo’s values (Haumāna: Student Access and Success; ʻĀina and Kānaka: ʻĀina-based and Community-based Education; Kākou: Vibrant Campus and Community ʻŌhana) are carried out in this SEM to attract, retain, and graduate students who will thrive academically and be empowered to discover purpose, foster well-being, and leave the world a better place.
