International Student Statistics

In the Fall 2017 Semester, 256 international students from 37 countries enrolled at UH Hilo. They comprise about 7.2% of the total student body. UH Hilo enrolls the largest number of international students from the Federated States of Micronesia (70), Japan (54), the Marshall Islands (30), Palau (23), South Korea (8), the United Kingdom (7), and China (6). Forty (40) of the 256 international students are exchange students, attending UH Hilo for one or two semesters. View a comparison of year to year international enrollment.
