GI Bill - Tutorial Assistance
If you are receiving VA education benefits and need help in a certain subject, you may be eligible to receive supplemental payments for tutorial assistance. This benefit is in addition to your regular education benefits. In order to receive tutorial assistance, a recipient must have a deficiency in a particular subject that is required for their degree or program completion, making tutoring necessary in order to advance their education. A letter from the course professor stating that you are deficient in the course and that tutoring is essential in order to correct the deficiency is required. In addition, the school must certify that tutoring is necessary for you to successfully complete the course and the tutor meets the school's requirements.
