Application Information

Graduate level applications are a two part process. Students must submit a University of Hawaiʻi Online Application form which includes uploads of supplemental documents to the online system and requests for all required letters of recommendation. Official transcripts for all prior coursework must then be requested and sent to the UH Hilo Graduate Division.

Information on program specific application requirements can be found in the Program Application Checklists on the Graduate Programs page.

Application fee:
All applicants (except for non-degree seeking, summer school or continuing education applicants) are required to make an on-line payment of a $50.00 non-refundable and non-transferable application fee (by Credit Card) to complete submission of the application.

We highly recommend submitting your UH application online. If you are not able to do so, please contact us at hilograd@hawaii.edu for assistance.

Certified Electronic Transcripts may be sent to
