Graduate Assistant Sick and Bereavement Leave
Effective with the Fall 2022 semester, sick and bereavement leave will be provided for Graduate Assistants. UH Executive Policy 9.240 allows Graduate Assistant’s to be advanced sick leave at the beginning of each academic semester. Any unused sick leave will be forfeited at the end of each semester. The advance and forfeiture schedule is included below.
Graduate Assistants are allowed 3 working days for bereavement leave.
Both sick and bereavement leave may be applied for using the University’s Online Leave System. Requests are approved by the GA’s Supervisor.
