Psychology Laboratory Renovations

• Project Number: UHH-16108
• Description: The project scope generally consists of renovations to the psychology laboratory, painting existing surfaces complete, including but not limited to interior walls/doors. Replace HVAC controls and distribution system. Remove existing flooring. New lighting system and acoustical ceiling. Installation of new ductless chemical fume hood, new eye wash, installation new biosafety cabinet and adequate power for four (4) freezers, replace all locksets with Salto electronic security card key system.

HCC Diesel Shop Transformer Replacement

• Project Number: UHH-16092
• Description: The project generally consists of providing all labor, tools, materials, equipment and insurance necessary to replace an existing transformer with a new stainless-steel transformer at the University of Hawaiʻi main campus.
• Project Completion: August 2025
• Cost: $97,426.24 (CRDM Operating FY23)

Hale Ikena Transformer Replacement (Transformer T7 & T8)

• Project Number: UHH-16114
• Description: The project generally consists of providing all labor, tools, materials, equipment and insurance necessary to replace an existing transformer with a new stainless-steel transformer at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo main campus.
• Project Completion: August 2025
• Cost: $171,193.05 (Housing to fund)

Panaewa Farm Renovations (Workshop)

• Project Number: UHH-16065
• Description: The scope of work to include the design and construction of a new 1,400 square foot workshop together with plumbing, electrical, work benches, emergency shower and central vacuum system.
• Project Completion: August 2025
• Cost: $745,350.00 (RIM FY20)

College of Natural and Health Sciences (CNHS)-Life Science Biology Building A Renovations (Rooms 3, 22, 1, 1A & 2)

• Project Number: UHH-16070
• Description: The scope of work will include design and construction for the renovations of two Biology classrooms. Includes selective demolition work, concrete work, structural steel work, carpentry, architectural finishes, laboratory equipment, plumbing, air conditioning and ventilation, electrical, telecommunication, fire alarm and all incidental related work. Work also to include removal, disposal and remediation of hazardous materials and all incidental works.
• Project Completion: July 2025
• Cost: $2,630,457.00 (RIM FY20)

Administration Building Replace Soffits and Gutters

• Project Number: UHH-16123
• Description: The project scope generally consists of the replacement of the existing exterior soffits and gutters.
• Project Completion: June 2025
• Cost: $63,139.77 design (CRDM Operation) / $257,300.00 construction (CRDM Operating)

Life Science Biology Building A Renovations

Nurse Laboratory Renovations

• Project Number: UHH-16071
• Description: The scope of work will include design and construction for the Nursing Laboratory include selective demolition work, concrete work, structural steel work, carpentry, architectural finishes, laboratory equipment, plumbing, air conditioning and ventilation, electrical, telecommunication, fire alarm and all incidental work. Work also to include removal, disposal and remediation of hazardous materials and all incidental work.
• Project Completion: January 2025
• Cost: $593,700.00 (RIM FY21/22)

Hoku Kea Observatory Decommissioning

• Project Number: UHH-16029
• Description: The project scope generally consists of decommissioning and removal of the Hoku Kea Observatory Building, Generator Building and associated telecommunications and electrical infrastructure.
• Project Completion: June 2024
• Cost: $792,450.00 (CIP FY21)

UH Hilo Library Renovations

• Project Number: UHH-16067
• Description: The project generally consists of planning, design and construction to the repair and improvement of the library building and infrastructure though modernization efforts. The project will include but not limited to student spaces expanding the Hawaiian Collection, creating 24/7 space on the second-floor accessible space, compliant with fire code and new graphics along the rear wall, removal of moveable shelving and R-track system, install glass walls and entry to Kilohana Tutoring Center, mechanical/electrical systems improvements.
• Project Completion: March 2024
• Cost: $871,900.00 (RIM FY20)

Hale Kehau Food Service Equipment Replacement

• Project Number: UHH-16075
• Description: The project generally consists of consultant services and construction to removal and replacement of the existing walk-in refrigerators and freezer and the repair/replacement of the existing fresh air supply at the serving area.
• Project Completion: January 2024
• Cost: $295,000 ($180,000 Energy Reinvestment/$115,000 Housing)

Imiloa Center Repair (Wall at Lobby Skylight)

• Project Number: UHH-16107
• Description: The project generally consists of work to re-caulk existing metal framed dome skylight and repair gypsum board at the Lobby skylight area.
• Project Completion: December 2023
• Cost: $193,717.20 (Imiloa)

Repave Tennis Courts

• Project Number: UHH-2016-618
• Description: This project will remove the existing Tennis Court pavement and replace with new.
• Project Completion: May 2022

Hale Kēhau Dishwasher Replacement

• Description: This project will replace the dishwasher in Hale Kēhau Dining Hall.
• Project Completion: May 2022

Aeronautical Flight Simulators

• Description: This project will provide construction and equipment for necessary repairs and maintenance for UH Hilo's Aeronautical Sciences Program CRX Open Cockpit Simulators, Desktop Simulators, maintenance and software upgrades.

Modernization & Repair of UH Telescopes on Mauna Kea

• Description: This project will replace the tensile membrane roof in PACRC (Pacific Aquaculture and Coastal Resources Center).

Ingress & Egress - Phase 1 OMKM Visitor Information Station

• Project Number: UHH-2014-407
• Description: This project will provide design and construction for infrastructure improvements and renovation within UH's Managed Lands on Mauna Kea including the Mid-Level Facilities at Hale Pōhaku, the Summit Access Road, and the Mauna Kea Science Reserve.
