Active Projects

Campus Center CRDM

• Project Number: UHH-16081
• Description: The project consists of planning, design and construction for the repair and improvement of the Campus Center building and infrastructure. Project generally consists of modernization of interior and exterior of the building including roofs, walls, doors and upgrade electrical/mechanical systems and pedestrian pathways.

College of Pharmacy Modular Building Renovations

• Project Number: UHH-16037
• Description: The project generally consists of renovations to the Pharmacy Modular Building B classrooms to become research laboratories, Building B will be renovated to include a large mutli-purpose room and lunchroom and construction of a new NMR building.

UH Hilo Student Life Swimming Pool Renovations

• Project Number: UHH-16068
• Description: The project scope generally consists of consultant services and construction for the conversion of the Student Life Center swimming pool from the current liquid chemical chlorination system to a saltwater chlorination generation system and the relocation of the existing filtration pump to a location more accessible for repairs and protection from weather.

Hale Ikena Replace Exhaust Fans

• Description: The project scope generally consists of the replacement of all exhaust fans on Buildings A through H.

Edith Kanakaole Hall Renovations

• Project Number: UHH-16109
• Description: The project scope generally consists of complete renovation of the building. Work to include paint exterior surfaces complete and interior walls/doors, electrical equipment upgrades (panels, switchboards, transformers, disconnects, etc.), replacing all light fixtures with LED fixtures, replacing all locksets with Salto electronic security cards key system, replace fire detection/fire protection systems.

Student Life Center Mechanical System Improvements

• Description: The project scope generally consists of the installation of a new central ducted air conditioning system for the weight/fitness area and replacement of the exhaust fans in the menʻs and womenʻs locker rooms.

Theater Building Mechanical Systems Improvements

• Description: The project scope generally consists of the installation of the replacement of the existing air conditioning equipment in the central chilled water plant yard including two air cooled chillers, chilled water pumps, chemical feed system, expansion tank, variable frequency drives, piping, valves and supports and a dry cooler. In addition, a dehumidifier in the costume storage room.

College of Agriculture Re-Roof and Replace Gutters

• Description: The scope of work will include design and construction for the re-roof and replace gutters of the College of Agriculture building. Includes removal work and replacement of existing metal roof and gutters, painting, carpentry work and all incidental related work.

Renovation and Repair PB-10 to PB-14 Native Hawaiian Spaces PB-11 - PB-14

• Project Number: UHH-16093
• Description: The general scope of work consists of planning, design and construction to include folding partitions between classroom 1 and computer lab at PB-12 and replace flooring. Replace existing AC of meeting room at PB-10 and repair roof leak and water damaged ceiling. Replace existing bottle filler at PB-10 lanai and at two other places. Add small kitchen area at computer lab. Replace existing plexiglass window covers at PB-10.

Student Service Building Mechanical Systems Improvements

• Description: This project is replacement of existing Chillers No. 1 and 2. The scope of work includes selective demolition, removal of chiller No. 1 and 2 equipment including air cooled chillers, chilled water pumps, dry cooler and associated piping, pipe insulation chemical pot feeders, instrumentation and controls, electrical and miscellaneous related work and replace with new Chiller No. 1 and all necessary equipment and appurtenances.

East Hawaiʻi Historic Preservation Center

• Description: The project generally consists of planning, design and construction of a new East Hawaiʻi Historic Preservation Center. Major programmatic functions to include the following: repository for native Hawaiʻi and other artifacts from the State of Hawaii; a place where collections can be stored and maintained in perpetuity, allow for visual and possibly interactions between visitors, students, employees and the collections; allow the visitors to observe the curation process; introduce visitors to an interactive work environment; include a cultural area in the facility where student can intern with DLNR-SHPD; include educationl classrooms, office/administrative spaces, conference rooms and outdoor lanai areas where students, employees and visitors can congregate.

• Description: The project scope generally consists of architectural revisions to design and construction to include replacing existing metal roof and wooden sun shade system, replace wooden lanai handrails, repair damaged structural floor framing, install new ADA unisex bathroom, replace all interior existing chalkboards with whiteboards, replace all light fixtures with LED fixtures, replace existing window AC system with new split system, replace existing locksets with Salto electronic security key card system.
