Undergraduate Research Support Awards
The purpose of this Award is to support undergraduate student scholarship, research, and creative activity for students enrolled in any field of study at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo (UH Hilo). Funds shall be used for costs including, but not limited to, research, travel, presenting at conferences, supplies, materials, community engagement expenses, and any other such costs associated with students’ research needs. This application should be completed by the faculty mentor. Faculty could apply for these funds with particular student(s) in mind (e.g., getting funding to take a student researcher to a conference) or without specific student(s) in mind, which will be recruited at a later point.
Support provided through this award is intended for activities taking place primarily during the Spring and Summer 2026 semesters.
For Spring 2026, applications are due March 23.
