CCECS announces Apple Mac introductory workshop

The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers a series of classes focusing on the basics of the Apple Mac computer. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 14, 16, 21, and 23, from 10 a.m. – noon, in UH Hilo’s UCB Room 125 (Mac Lab). Tuition is $75.

The course is designed for those who are unfamiliar with Macs or uncomfortable with computers. Students will learn the basics of navigating through menus, moving and copying files, using tools, and how to utilize basic pre-installed applications. Working with pictures (iPhotos) and music (iTunes), backing up (Time Machine), the App Store, calendar reminders, and more will also be covered.
