UH Hilo to host lifesaving training

The University of Hawai╩╗i at Hilo invites the public to a training session on Compression Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) on Tuesday, April 19, from 5-6:30 p.m. in Vulcan Gym.

Captain Chris Honda of the Hawai╩╗i Fire DepartmentÔÇÖs Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Bureau will demonstrate the three essential steps to saving a life during sudden cardiac arrest. Participants will then have the opportunity to practice what they learned.

The session is sponsored by UH Hilo, the Hawai╩╗i Fire Department, and the Hilo Medical Center Foundation.
