UH Hilo to host lifesaving training

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo invites the public to a training session on Compression Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) on Tuesday, April 19, from 5-6:30 p.m. in Vulcan Gym.
Captain Chris Honda of the Hawaiʻi Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Bureau will demonstrate the three essential steps to saving a life during sudden cardiac arrest. Participants will then have the opportunity to practice what they learned.
The session is sponsored by UH Hilo, the Hawaiʻi Fire Department, and the Hilo Medical Center Foundation.
