The public is invited to “Journalism today: From the newsroom to online” as part of the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo English Brown Bag Series on Wednesday, February 10, from noon to 1 p.m., in Campus Center Room 306.

Catherine Siegner, a journalist who has made the successful transition from traditional print media to working remotely with various online publications, is currently the state desk project director for, an online non-partisan political encyclopedia. Based in Montana, she has worked as an online managing editor, newspaper editor and publisher, reporter and a media relations manager for daily and weekly print and online publications.
