According to the 14th Annual Domestic Violence Counts Report (NNEDV.org/DVCounts, 2020), a total of 578 adult and child victims were helped by Hawaiʻi DV programs and shelters in just ONE day. Since the initial state-wide stay-at-home order was issued on March 25, 2020, the number of reports of domestic violence and sexual misconduct has significantly increased. While quarantine lockdowns are essential in managing this COVID-19 crisis, they can also place vulnerable campus community members in extremely high risk situations. We must work together to continue to keep our campus community members safe! We have provided a list of crisis outreach and support services information, both local and national, that you can reference and provide to those in need. Please continue to check our website for updated resources and learning opportunities!

In accordance with the University of Hawaiʻi Policy and Procedure on Sex Discrimination and Gender-Based Violence, the Title IX Office has the specific responsibility for providing prompt and effective responses to all complaints by faculty, staff and students. Any request for assistance can be submitted via our online reporting form or email eeoaa@hawaii.edu. Please be aware that daily operations, including but not limited to complaint processing, investigations and interim measures, will continue so as to assure that any discrimination, harassment, sexual violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, retaliation, or other discriminatory behaviors are addressed promptly.
