Final Examinations
Course Instruction is based on 15 student contact hours per credit to be completed within the semester. The decision to hold a final examination is at the instructor’s discretion. Final examinations must be held only during the designated final exam period and time block specified in the UH Hilo Academic Calendar. Exams should be conducted at the regular instructional location or through the specified electronic modality. Online proctors are available through the UH Hilo Testing Center and can be requested if online proctoring is required.
Final examinations in some laboratory courses may be held during the final week of classes. In the compressed schedule of summer sessions, final exams must be administered as close to the end of the session as possible.
