- The report lists the sites that the University of Hawaii wekiu bug researchers have searched and trapped since the spring of 2007. In 2006, the University of Hawaii wekiu bug researchers worked with the Bishop Museum. Sampling sites included high density areas (summit) and at fringe habitats (near VLBA). Maps indicating the effort of sampling have also been attached for each of the major cinder cones in wekiu bug habitat (above 11,000).
