Summary:

Live capture and release methods were used to estimate Wekiu bug capture rates. Other arthropods collected in these traps will be retained for identification and quantification of capture rates. Trap designs have been tested and a suitable trap design has been decided on. Since most of the habitat types are unique and present in a mosaic within the Mauna Kea Science Reserve, they constitute islands which can be sampled independently.
