Subject:
Wekiu bug Nysius wekiuicola Mauna Kea Science Reserve
Summary:
Live capture and release methods were employed to estimate Wekiu bug capture rates. Other arthropods collected in these traps were retained for identification and quantification of capture rates or noted and released. This report presents the results of the first phase of the sampling program to determine the size of the active populations of the Wekiu bug and certain other sensitive native arthropod species resident within the Mauna Kea Science Reserve.
