Summary:
This document contains a description of the trapping system design and testing; questions of interest, sampling design and statistical analytical methodologies for each task; field protocols; laboratory protocols; and data logs. A new trapping system was developed that captured and held live Wekiu bugs and other resident arthropod species so that they could be released after identification and enumeration. The sampling system is described in detail, with specific "Questions of Interest", sampling design, and statistical analysis methodology presented and discussed for each of the core tasks. Sections describing in detail the field and laboratory protocols are also included. Copies of all data logs and field notes are included.
