Summary:
On 22 August 1990 during the Hawaiian Rainband Project (HaRP), the interaction between trade-wind rainbands and island-induced airflow was shown to be responsible for the evolution of the rainbands. Detailed descriptions of rainband development and evolution were given for the case study.
