Summary:
This document describes a resolution that was passed at a meeting that was held on 9 February 1961 that would preserve the Paiko Lagoon as a feeding site to the Hawaiian Stilt and other shore and migratory birds on the island of Oahu. As this lagoon also served as an excellent nursery habitat for certain estuarine fish, crustacea, and other sea life, in addition to preserving much of the charm and beauty of old Hawaii, it was recommended that this lagoon be preserved for the enjoyment of all Hawaiian people.
