Chromosome numbers are reported for approximately 165 of Hawaii's 1442 species of native flowering plants with special significance of reports for Hex, Tribulus, Keysseria, Pisonia, Boerhavia, Jacquemontia, Claoxylon, Lipochaeta, Railliardia, and Dubautia.The purpose of this report was to present new data that has been accumulated in an ongoing cytological survey of the flowering of native Hawaiian plants with an intentional emphasis given to the Hawaiian tarweed genera Dubautia and Railliardia. The possible significance of chromosome numbers in these and certain other taxa is discussed in this report.
