Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality . The U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is charged with improving the quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care for all Americans. AHRQ supports research that will improve the quality of health care and promote evidence-based decision making.

National Institute of Nursing Research . Its mission is to promote and improve the health of individuals, families, communities, and populations. NINR supports research in such areas as chronic and acute diseases, health promotion and maintenance, symptom management, health disparities, caregiving, self-management, and the end of life.
