Summary:
The purpose of this Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is to provide a description of selected aspects of the Hale Pohaku environment, an analysis of environmental impact resulting from proposed developments at Hale Pohaku in the near and distant future, a determination of the type and amount of irretrievable resources required to accomplish the proposed development program, an analysis of alternative actions which could be implemented to accomplish the goals and objectives of the proposed development program, and a document which has been prepared in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order of August 23, 1971 and the State Office of Environmental Quality Control Manual for the Preparation and Processing of Environmental Impact Statements (Final Draft, October 4, 1972.
