The purpose of this report is to outline the hydrology of the Kohala Mountain and Mauna Kea areas of the island of Hawaii and to summarize what is known of the quantity and quality of water available for development. The report briefly describes the geology, the streams, and the modes of occurrence of ground water. It gives information on the flow of streams and the pumpage and quality of ground water, and outlines information and records that are needed for more comprehensive appraisals of the water supplies in the area.
