This document contains information regarding the elevation, trail length, level of difficulty, and type of activities that occur on this road that is made up primarily of dirt and gravel. This trail is located west of Ahumoa, leads to the old Puu Laau Ranger cabin, and passes through open Mamane, Naio, and Iliahi dryland forest. While on this trail, one might pass through the critical habitat of the endangered Palila bird, a Hawaiian finch, that is found only on the upper slopes of Mauna Kea.
