Summary:
This document describes a journey taken from San Francisco, California to the Hawaii (Ovaihy) by the author and his companion, Mr. Eliot, who was an Englishman and a long time resident of the archipelago. The author briefly describes how Mauna Loa (Mauna Roa) and Mauna Kea (Mona-Kea) were absent from snow and how Hualalai (Mona-Vororai) was entirely covered with lava. He also briefly mentions King Kamehameha (Tammeamea) and his favorite wife, Kaahumanu (Kahoumanou).
