Summary:
This study is concerned with the identification, nomenclature and phytosociology of the Hawaiian tree ferns. The detailed tree fern measurements, and the data from the twenty vegetation releves were processed by computer. The information obtained from the computer analysis was used to ordinate the vegetation types based on the morphological variability of the trunks and fronds of the dominant class Cibotium glaucum.
