- Summary:
- The culture clashes between indigenous people and astronomers have been taking place in Arizona and Hawaii, as well as in Australia and South Africa where the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) is being built. In the case of SKA, the interaction between scientist and native peoples use art to build the relationships and created a traveling art exhibition, Shared Sky, in which indigenous articsts from both countries produced pieces celebrating ancient and modern stories about the cosmos. However, the clashes between indigenous people and astronomers in Hawaii still see no compromise in sight.
