Summary:
Proclamation of forest reserve in the district of Hamakua, Island and County of Hawaii. The Governor of Hawaii set apart a potion of government land in the District of Hamakua, Island of Hawaii as a Forest Reserve, to be called the "Mauna Kea Forest Reserve." The section included in the proposed reserve may roughly be described as the upper slopes of Mauna Kea above an elevation of approximately 7,500 feet. The area is 66,600 acres. The map of the area, made in February 1909, is on file in the Survey Department, marked "Registered Map Number 2060" and "Mauna Kea Forest Reserve."
