Summary:
The Argentine ant has invaded natural ares on higher elevations at Haleakala National Park, posting a threat to native species. The authors conducted a year-long bait preference experiment in finding a bait carrier for subsequent toxicant-based control tests. Maxforce was found to be the best bait carrier among the 6 solid and 2 liquid baits assessed.
