This notice of preparation has been prepared to accomplish the following: 1. to comply with Chapter 343, Hawaii Revised Statutes; 2. to inform the public of the proposed Mauna Kea Science Reserve Master Plan; 3. to assess the environmental setting of the project site and surrounding area; 4. to outline the possible environmental impacts of the proposed actions; 5. to outline mitigating actions for the proposed actions; and, 6. to consider alternatives to the proposed project and the impacts of those alternatives.
