Summary:
The authors made 23 expeditions between August 1994 and April 1996 on the islands of Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, and Kawai. Recent sighting history of 13 rare and missing Hawaiian forest birds has been compiled. The survey found four critically endangered birds: Poouli, Maui Nukupuu, Iiwi, and Puaiohi.
