Photocopies of the pictures of Mauna Kea test station with annotations by Mr. Akiyama. "Dome installed by Ash Manufacturing Co. of Plainville, Illinois. Concrete foundation of dome constructed by S. K. Oda Ltd. of Hilo. New highway from Hale Pohaku to dome site constructed by Kuwaye Bros. Inc. of Hilo. Puu Poliahu elevation - 13,612 feet, distance from Hilo - 42 miles. Dome completed on June 11, 1964. First Moon observation made by Alika Herring on June 13, 1964. Dedication ceremonies of Newe "Burns Highway" to site and observatory dome to be held on July 20, 1964 at 2:00pm at Puu Poliahu. Station is highest observatory in entire United States."
