Reporting to Rep. Hara the phone conversation with Dr. Kuiper. NASA officials are anxious to get a program started due to the urgency of the space program. UH may not be able to get NASA funding on its own because of the lack of experienced scientists in the area. NASA officlas regretted deeply the chaos caused by Dr. Liddel and they want Dr. Kuiper to continue the work on Mauna Kea. Dr. Kuiper is willing to come to Hawaii to discuss the Mauna Kea matter and Mr. Akiyama is asking for the proper contact to make the invitation.
