- The new mirror arrived on July 2nd but it needed some more work to fit on the telescope. The local Hawaiian Equipment Comany donated labor in fixing the mirror. Mr. Akiyama suggested Mr. Gillespie write a thank-you letter to Mr. A. C. W. Ireton, local brance manager of the company. In the meantime, the planning of the dedication is taking shape.
