- Dr. Kuiper returned to LPL after a trip to Hawaii Islands in the previous week. He thanked Mr. Akiyama and others for their hospitality. He mentioned that they were considering moving some of LPL's equipment from Catalina Station to Mauna Kea. His assistant, Mr. Gillespie, will go to Hilo once the dome and other equipment arrive in Hilo. Alica Herring will probably arrive around May 25.
