Summary:
The following is a description of a Shearwater that was obtained by Mr. M. Newell of Hilo, Hawaii: Somewhat glossy black upper surface of the wings and tail. Black border of under wing-coverts: Pure white under parts including under tail-coverts, black edge and tip of mandible and maxilla with the rest of the maxilla being light brown, light yellow tarsus and feet with black along the outer posterior side of tarsus, the outer toe and half middle toe.
