This document lists the insects that were found in the crater of Mauna Loa on the island of Hawaii as follows: Hymenoptera - Psammochares luctuosus, Bassus laetatorius, Limnerium blackburni; Diptera - Xanthogramma gradicorne, Sarcophaga pallinervis, Frontina archippivora, and an undetermined species; Lepidoptera - Pontia rapae, Scotorythra rara, Eccoptocera foeterivorans; Heriptera - Nysius delectus, Hysius coenosulus. Other species that are mentioned are the Myrmeleo wilsoni, the Hawaiian Ophionidae, the Enicospilus dispilus, Egg-parasites of the corn leafhopper, and the Chrysidid.
