Summary:
This document gives the lease history of the Humuula Sheep Station starting with a letter from Isaac Y. Davis to William Webster, land agent of King Kamehameha IV, dated January 19, 1857, to the purchase of the land by Samuel Parker in March of 1914 at which time there were 23,000 head of sheep, 500 head of cattle, and 400 head of horses. Also described is the type of work that was done by the ranchers after the land was purchased by Samuel Parker, the advantages that the workers enjoyed through their employment at Parker Ranch, and the factors that brought the sheep operation to an end in 1965.
