- Summary:
- This paper is an outcome of the First Pan-Pacific Scientific Conference, held at Honolulu in 1920, and which is intended as a contribution to the too scanty knowledge of the petrology of the Pacific Ocean volcanoes. The paper establishes the range of chemical and mineralogical composition of volcanoes on the island of Hawaii. These studies formed the basis for the later work of Gordon Macdonald.
