This document describes the arrival and distribution of wild bullocks and sheep to Oahu as occurred on Christmas morning, 1857. Described are the chain of events that took place upon the arrival of the Bovine such as the development of slaughterhouses and the trade of beef and beef products. These creatures, that plagued Honolulu in the early days, were descendants of the cattle that were brought to Hawaii by Captain George Vancouver during the visits that he made to the islands in 1793 and 1794. Also described is the arrival of cattle as it occurred throughout Hawaii.
