Poliahu was the favorite daughter of the red-headed god, Ka-ne, Creator of the Waters, and the Goddess of the Mist called Hina. Ku-kahau-ula was known as the most constant lover on the island of Hawaii, the handsomest and most daring man who made daily pilgrimages to court the Snow Goddess in the morning and afternoon.
